Lethbridge Man Pleads Not Guilty to Attempted Murder Charges

32 year old Robert Sheppard is facing four counts of attempted murder along with several firearms offences.

A 32 year old Lethbridge man pleading not guilty Thursday (Aug. 9) in connection to an incident where shots were fired at a west side home.

Robert Sheppard has also elected for trial by judge alone in provincial court. Court was told that they expect it to take three days.

Lethbridge Police allege that several rounds were fired into a home along Heritage Boulevard on April 15th and the suspect was chased down and arrested by RCMP early the next morning near Granum. Police also say that it was a targeted crime and all parties involved are known to each other.

Sheppard is facing four counts of attempted murder along with several firearms offences.

He'll be back in court on August 23rd to possibly set trial dates.
