Lethbridge Man Gets Four Years in Jail for Liquor Store Robbery

A Lethbridge man pleading guilty on Monday (Feb. 4) in connection to a violent robbery at a local liquor store.

In October, Lethbridge Police say a man armed with a knife entered the store along 8 Avenue North and demanded money from a female employee.
 
He then pinned the 51-year old victim against the wall, held the knife against her throat and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. Fortunately, the victim was not injured.
 
Kyle Thurlow, 34, has pleaded guilty to one count of robbery for the incident. He was sentenced to spend the next four years in jail.
 
Three other charges against Thurlow, including assault with a weapon, wearing a disguise during an indictable offence and uttering threats, were withdrawn by the Crown.
