Lethbridge Man Charged After Pellet Gun Fired Outside Drug Consumption Site

22 year old Joshua Hairy Bull of Lethbridge is facing a number of charges after being arrested Sunday night.

Lethbridge Police have charged a 22 year old man in connection with an incident where a pellet gun was discharged at the Supervised Consumption Site (SCS).

Sunday night (Jan. 6) police responded to a report that a man had produced a handgun and fired it outside the west doors of the SCS.

Witnesses provided a description of the suspect and when officers arrived he was located attempting to hide amongst a group of people. No one was injured and the man was arrested without incident.

During a search police seized a loaded pellet gun that closely resembled a handgun along with a small quantity of methamphetamine.

Joshua Hairy Bull of Lethbridge is facing a number of charges including carrying a concealed weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and possession of drugs.

He remains in jail and is awaiting a judicial interim release gearing.
