Lethbridge Man Arrested For Multiple Offences, Accused of Assaulting Police Officer

31 year old Michael Hahn is facing several charges including assaulting an officer, evading police, dangerous driving, disqualified driving and possession of stolen property just to name a few.

Lethbridge Police arresting a city man after an LPS officer was nearly hit by a vehicle.

Last Thursday (Nov. 29), police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle along Fairmont Point South. When the officer approached the car, the driver apparently sped off and collided with a parked police vehicle, forcing the officer back in order to avoid being run over.

Three days later (Dec. 2), LPS went to check out another suspicious vehicle call on the north side (St. Arthur Road) this time finding the driver inside, fast asleep at wheel. Police believe the suspect, identified from the previous incident, was impaired by drugs.

He'll appear in court Friday (Dec. 7).
