Lethbridge CUPW Local Sad About Unresolved Issues in Postal Dispute

None of the issues raised by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers have been addressed which means the issue will be going to the courts.

The frustration is obvious as members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers were ordered by the government back on the job Tuesday (Nov. 27) following six weeks of rotating strikes.

While the Union isn't happy about being forced back to work, Lethbridge's CUP-W Local 770 president, Shannon Parenteau is disappointed and sad by the legislation, seeing as none of the issues such as health and safety have been addressed and her co-workers are reeling.

Parenteau says a lot of people will be forced out or injured because locally the job has been built on overtime and force backs.
