Lethbridge College to Honour Local Indigenous Education Mentor & Advocate

Peter Weasel Moccasin will receive an Honourary Bachelor of Applied Science Degree at the college's spring convocation April 27th.

A man who's been instrumental in making indigenous education a priority is being recognized by Lethbridge College. Peter Weasel Moccasin, who grew up on the Blood Reserve, will be receiving an Honourary Bachelor of Applied Science Degree at the college's spring convocation. College President, Dr. Paula Burns says Weasel Moccasin has had an immeasurable effect on the campus. He's worked as Lethbridge College's Kainai grandparent since 2013 and has been a mentor, leader, and advocate for students. The College's spring convocation goes April 27th. - Pat Siedlecki
