Judge Sentences Lethbridge Man to Over Three Years For Serious Crash Near Coaldale

27 year old Logan Drake will spend time in jail after pleading guilty in connection to a crash last November on Highway 845.

A 27 year old man pleading guilty last week in relation to a serious two vehicle crash south of Coaldale back in November.

On November 12th, a stolen truck heading north on Highway 845 crossed in front of another truck travelling southeast on Highway 4. The occupants of the truck, a couple in their 70's from the Yukon were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

A female passenger in the stolen truck suffered serious head and internal injuries and was flown to a Calgary hospital by STARS Air Ambulance.

Logan Drake of Lethbridge pleaded guilty last Thursday (May 9) to three counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm as well as a single count of possession of stolen property over $5,000.

Drake was sentenced to just over three years in prison for those offences. His licence will also be suspended for two years.
