Granum Woman Dies After Crash Near Fort Macleod

A 50 year old woman from Granum is dead following a single vehicle crash on Highay 519.

A 50 year old woman from Granum is dead following a single vehicle crash on Highway 519.  The incident happened early Monday morning around 3:00.  Fort Macleod RCMP says a car left the road, hit the ditch, and went through a chain link fence that was protecting an underground gas line.  Police say roads were dry at the time of the crash.  The victim was unconscious at the time, but later died in hospital in Claresholm.  No names have been released and Fort Macleod mounties continue to investigate.  The woman was the only occupant of the car.
