A Coalhurst man will spend the next ten years behind bars in an American prison. 46 year old Calvin Wayne Skidmore was arrested back in April after Customs Agents stopped him at the Del Bonita border crossing, trying to enter Canada. He was questioned by Customs, then taken to Sweetgrass where a narcotics dog sniffed out cocaine. Court documents show Skidmore hid 46 packages of cocaine under the dashboard of his truck. He also told agents he'd been working illegally in the US. On Thursday, an American Judge sentenced him to just over ten and a half years in prison for the attempted exportation of cocaine. He must also serve five years of supervised release after his prison term.
