Coalhurst Fire Fighters Respond to Bear Spray Incident Early Thursday

Members of the Coalhurst Volunteer Fire Department were called out as Medical First Response after four people were attacked with bear spray.

The Coalhurst Volunteer Fire Department responding to an incident early Thursday morning after four people were attacked with bear spray.

The group reportedly caught suspects rummaging through their vehicles and confronted them. The suspects then ran to nearby vehicle, grabbed bear spray and sprayed the owner and family.

Firefighters say the items in your vehicle are usually not worth your safety and residents are asked to call RCMP if they see suspicious activity.
