Castle Mountain Resort already reporting some substantial snowfall in its alpine region, but it's still hoping for one more big storm before opening day.
A little under two weeks left until Castle Mountain Resort, west of Pincher Creek will be ready to open for the season.
Sales and Marketing Manager, Cole Fawcett, says he's confident they'll be able to welcome skiiers and snowboarders by December 14th.
Until then, he says plenty of preparation work is underway. "We have our mountain safety team out training. Our snow-making team is making the limited amount of snow we can produce at the resort. Inside, it's a beehive of activity as we get guest services staff trained up and a new food and beverage contingent on board as well.
Fawcett adds that there's already been some substantial snowfall in the alpine region, but Castle is still hoping for one more big storm before opening.
