Canada Winter Games Torch Relay in Lethbridge January 16

For the first time in the Canada Games’ 52 year history, the torch is making its way across Canada and stopping in nearly 50 communities along the way.

The Canada Winter Games Torch Relay will be rolling through Lethbridge next week.

The relay started a few months ago in Ottawa and for the first time in the Canada Games 52 year history, the torch is making its way across the country, stopping in 50 communities along the way.

The relay will be in the city at 3:00 pm next Wednesday, January 16th at the ENMAX Centre.

A dozen people will carry the torch locally including Mayor Chris Spearman, Susan Eymann of the Lethbridge Sport Council, and local volunteer Perry Neufeld just to name a few.

The Canada Winter Games take place in Red Deer next month.
