Blood Tribe Police Investigating Stolen Ambulance From Stand-Off

Melvin Mountain Horse is facing a number of charges including theft of the ambulance, dangerous driving, and driving while prohibited.

Police on the Blood Reserve are investigating after an ambulance was stolen this week.

Late Wednesday afternoon (Jan. 9), Blood Tribe EMS was called to assess a person in custody at the police building in Stand-Off.

While the patient was being treating inside the building, a man walked up to the ambulance in the parking lot and drove off with it. A short time later, the ambulance was reported to have struck a vehicle along Highway 2, it failed to stop at the collision and was eventually found parked outside of a home in the Moses Lake.

Melvin Mountain Horse is facing a number of charges including theft of the ambulance, dangerous driving, and driving while prohibited.

Mountain Horse remains in jail and will appear in court in Cardston January 14th.
