The Blood Reserve has inked the largest ever oil and gas deal for a First Nations in Canada. The deal is worth 50 million dollars and was finally agreed on Tuesday in Calgary with Murphy Oil and Bowood Energy Limited.  Chief Charles Weasel Head says the revenues from the agreements could help the Blood Trive economically and create more opportunities for the members to work in the petroleum industry.  Weasel Head says that "deal was too good to let it pass by". Once all the documentation is completed and all parties sign off on it then funds will be available to the Tribe. Spinoff benefits from the massive lease agreement could result in new companies and many new jobs.
