Foothills MP, John Barlow, says the federal Conservatives are listening to rural Canadians, especially the RCMP and their frustration in dealing with criminals in the justice system.
A local MP is critical of what he says is the lack of action by the federal government on the rise of rural crime throughout Canada.

Barlow says criminals are simply going through a catch and release program, however the federal Conservatives are listening to rural Canadians and especially the RCMP and their frustration in dealing with criminals in the justice system. He says the federal Liberals are only talking about a gun registry with Bill C-71 while another bill, Bill C-75 actually has the governing party getting softer on crime.
Barlow says he's being told by rural Albertans they no longer feel safe in their own homes
