Dementia and Your Brain Health

Announcing a Brain Awareness presentation to be held on March 16 at 2:00pm. This one is hosted by the U of L’s Canadian Center for Behaviour Neuroscience. Keynote speaker will be Jay Ingram, science broadcaster and writer who co-hosted Discovery Channel’s Daily Planet for 16 years. He will be talking about Alzheimer’s Disease and improving overall brain health. Following the talk and Q&A for Jay, there will be a 5-panel member discussion focusing on those impacted by the disease, highlighting research developments, caregiver supports and how we as a community can come together to improve the lives of people living with dementia. This will include a Q&A as part of the discussion. The cost for this event is $5.00 with proceeds going to the University of Lethbridge’s Alzheimer Disease Catalyst Fund.
Tickets will be available online as well as at the Alzheimer Society Office and the two seniors centers: LSCO and Nordbridge.
